Fun at 50th & France
If you’ve walked around the 50th and France area of Edina, Minnesota, you know that it is bursting with boutique shops, restaurants, and bars. Many of the storefronts feature custom awnings made by Acme Awning as well. This fall a new restaurant will bring a Cajun flair to the neighborhood, and its awnings are bringing a touch of fun as well.
Mr. Paul’s Po’boys and Jams will feature creative po’boy sandwiches, housemade sodas and slushies. The shop is tucked back along a pedestrian walk way and will include a quaint outdoor eating space along the stone path. With its red and white striped awning and lobster logo, passers-by can’t help but notice the newcomer. Placing a logo on a striped background can be tricky, but this customer took Acme Awning’s advice to use a white background behind the logo to help it stand out from the stripes. The result is this amusing and attractive storefront, easily identifiable as Mr. Paul’s.
