Distinctive Facade for Edina Eatery

The recently-opened Starling restaurant in Edina is located on the ground floor of the newly built Maison Green Apartment building. Featuring a globally-inspired menu and a welcoming atmosphere, Starling aims to be a neighborhood restaurant locals return to time and again. The designers behind the bright and airy interior also wanted to find a way to help the restaurant stand out from the rest of the building in a subtle but distinctive (and economical) way. The solution: decorative canvas panels.

At Acme Awning, we offer custom awnings and canopies — and in this case, vertical panels — to much of Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. When given the opportunity to craft these structures, our team was excited to get to work. We began by building the frame with our 16-gauge Gatorshield galvanized steel tubing, welding it together to form the panels with arms to secure it to the building. Our sewing factory then created the canvas covers using one of the many options in the Sunbrella Awning/Marine line (see the Showroom here). Finally, our expert installation team completed the canvas facade improvement with precise placement of each panel.

These panels create a modern, fresh look for the corner of the larger building, welcoming guests to the new restaurant space. If you are looking for a creative, long-lasting and economical way to update your building, contact Acme Awning today.
