Standing Seam Awning Over Residential Garage

Most of our residential customers opt for either a traditional aluminum style awning or a canvas awning solution to meet their needs. But recently Acme Awning was asked to provide a standing seam awning for a home, and the results are striking. Standing seam awnings use a 24-gauge pre-finished standing seam metal roof system installed over a traditional steel frame. These metal awnings have a color fast finish with a 35-year color warranty. Coupled with Acme’s signature 16-gauge galvanized steel frame, this product is know for its longevity.

The sheet metal awnings have colored metal on the top and are white underneath. This can help both keep the heat transfer to a minimum and let things stay a bit “lighter” and brighter underneath the awnings. This particular customer wanted to have the frames painted to match the standing seam cover, so Acme Awning had them powder coat painted prior to installation.
