Motorized Canvas Screens for Lake House

Acme Awning recently had the pleasure of working on a lake cabin just outside of the Twin Cities metro. The setting was beautiful and the project proved to be rather fun! The owner was looking for a way to add privacy and weather protection to their screen porch, and wanted a solution that would be easy and quick to use. Traditional porch curtains are usually a great solution for adding privacy and wind/rain protection (see a recent project of the month featuring custom porch curtains: click here), but they need to be manually rolled up and down. Not quite the easy and quick solution our customer wanted.

We worked with the customer to find the best solution and ended up with KE USA’s motorized zip screen with Sunbrella Awning/Marine canvas for the material. These screens feature a concealed cassette for a clean and modern look. They are either hard wired to a switch or operated with a remote control for a quick and easy response. With the touch of a button, a screen can be deployed to provide instant sun protection. The zip rails keep everything secure and on track.
