Before & After: Minneapolis Corner Market

Corner markets are a wonderful community resource. A place to stop for a snack, pick up a few grocery items, and connect with neighbors. At the corner of SE 8th Street and SE 8th Avenue in the Marcy-Homes neighborhood in Minneapolis, the 8th Street Market has proudly served the community for many years. The market recently changed ownership and the storefront underwent a redesign.

The custom purple canopy was looking worn and dated. Acme Awning was brought in to provide a refreshed and modern look for the newly branded Joe’s Market. To accomplish this, we removed the existing canopy and framework, replacing it with a more streamlined awning with clean lines and crisp lettering. The new awning still protects patrons from the elements and clearly advertises the store, but the overall appearance is fresh and inviting.
