Rooftop Patio Refresh at Brit’s Pub

Brit’s Pub has been a mainstay in downtown Minneapolis since opening its doors in 1990. Starting out as a two-room tavern, the establishment has grown over the years, all while keeping it’s authentic UK feel. A couple of notable additions: The legendary Garden Park and Lawn Bowling Green was added in 1998, and The Veranda Bar was opened in 2006, an outdoor bar/patio overlooking the Garden Park.

To get the outdoor space ready for another patio — and lawn bowling — season, Brit’s Pub hired Acme Awning to give the Veranda and Garden Park a refresh. Acme has been the pub’s long-time awning provider and we were happy to help. First up, recovering three existing awnings that Acme manufactured and installed back in 2006 during the initial expansion. The steel frames are still in great shape, and reusing the frames provided an economical way to freshen things up. To complete the update, a new 60′ wide awning was installed along the Champions Wall, giving the patio more covered space for guests to enjoy the outdoors with the added sun and rain protection an awning can provide.
