Shopping Center Refresh

The South Lake Village shopping center in Prior Lake is home to a variety of different shops, restaurants and more. The center is a sprawling complex with over 70,000 square feet of retail space. The property management company has created a uniform and consistent feel by installing dark green awnings of similar shape over the doors and windows throughout the center.

Unfortunately the awnings were showing signs of wear. The canvas was fading and becoming worn, even ripped, in spots. And the support arms on many of the awnings were visibly bent or broken. In an effort to refresh the exterior of the shopping center, Acme Awning was brought in to both repair and recover all 19 awnings. The first step was to remove the broken and bent aluminum arms. Next, the awning frames were reinforced with sturdier steel arms, installed a bit higher and now less visible to passersby.
